Kit Includes

• 1 – Tower hoist with cable
• 1 – Mounting plate 
• 1 – Support plate
• 4 – 1½ x ⅜” bolts 
• 4 – locking nuts 
• 4 – self-tapping screws 

 

You’ll Need:

• Power drill
• ⅜” drill bit 
• Philips head bit 
• Wrench for tightening nuts 

INSTRUCTIONS:

The Tower Hoist should only be installed after your Cargo Van Ramp has been installed in your vehicle. Ensure your CVR is properly installed and functioning before adding the Tower Hoist. 

 

Step 1

Align the bottom of the tower hoist with the side edge of the ramp as pictured. Ensure that the spring on the tower hoist is facing the ramp but not blocking the ramp from being deployed. The length of the tower hoist should also be running alongside the side wall of the van in order to secure it.

 

Step 2

With the tower hoist in place, use a power drill with a ⅜” drill bit to drill through the four holes on the base of the tower hoist. Make sure you drill through the floor of your van.

Step 3

Place the four bolts through the holes you just drilled. 

Step 4

Align the mounting plate on the underside of your van so that the bolts go through it. Use your wrench to secure the locking nuts to each of the bolts. The mounting plate acts as an additional anchor to keep the bolts from pulling through the van floor.

 

Step 5

Secure the tower hoist to the side of your van. Locate a vertical or horizontal support beam on the side of your van. If you do not know where they are, you may have to pull back the van wall. Position the support plate so that one side is against a van wall support beam and the other side 

is against the tower hoist. Use two self-tapping screws and your drill to attach one side of the support plate to the side of your van. Use the the other two screws to secure the plate to the tower hoist.

 

 

Step 6

Grab the end of the cable attached to your tower hoist and use the carabiner to attach it to the hook on the side of the ramp as pictured. 

Step 7

Your tower hoist is now installed! Ensure that your cargo van ramp can still be properly deployed and stowed. If you happen to run into any issues during installation give us a call at 800-876-7267 so we can help!
